Digital Air Data Testers for General Aviation

PS-425 Digital Pitot-Static Tester

The PS-425 Pitot-Static tester is designed specifically for the needs of general aviation. It is a low-maintenance, digital tester that is fully portable.

The PS-425 is powered by 8 internal alkaline batteries (included in purchase), which enable the test set to be used completely independent of any external power source. A connector is provided for an external 12 volt DC power adapter (included).

The PS-425 incorporates the altitude, VSI, and airspeed in one single display..

The PS-425 is designed and priced for non-RVSM markets, and includes two quick-connect hoses, 12 VDC power adapter, calibration certificate, and a limited 2-year warranty. This product is ideal for performing simple go/no-go leak tests, as well as for general use as a low-end pitot-static tester. It only requires an annual calibration, and the sensors are technician-proof, which contributes to reduced annual maintenance costs.

Display

The UNITS button is used to toggle between the two primary displays - altitude and knots, or altitude and VSI.

The LEAK CHECK will begin a 120 second timer, and the display will also show the gain or loss of altitude or airspeed experienced during the displayed time period.

If the operator wishes to select a different length of testing time, the Leak Check button may be pressed repeatedly, which will cause a reduction in the timer counter in 30-second increments. The timer will not toggle above 120 seconds nor under 30 seconds. Once the time is selected, press the Units button to start the timer.

The EXIT button is used to exit out of the leak check mode.

The LIGHT (sun) button will toggle the display backlight ON or OFF.

Altitude - The altitude is measured based on a reference point of 29.92 (sea level). This is pre-set at calibration and cannot be changed by the operator.
